Submitting for a large public building, the project relied heavily on hand-drawn sketches to convey the basic massing and appearance of the building.
The design focused on the creating a series of open public spaces throughout the site - primarily through a covered corridor and a large central hall.
The main massing conceived of a large volume suspended over the ground level, containing all of the main program space. The structural supports, made of timber, created a transparent border between inside and outside on ground level that allows public engagement with the exhibits inside.
